At Tapestry Löwchen, our aim is for the betterment of the breed standard and to keep this wonderful little, VERY RARE,  breed thriving.  Being the only one of two Löwchen breeders left in Canada, we take this task very seriously.  We strive to produce to the breed standard with emphasis on maintaining the loving temperament of all our Löwchen. 

We breed selectively (producing quality over quantity), therefore we have only 1 or 2 litters per year.  

Finding the perfect home for our puppies is easy because of the versatility of this little lion dog but it is very important to us that they find their correct forever homes.

A moment in time, a gift that keeps giving. 


Captured in 2010, this photo holds deep meaning for all of us.   At its heart is Carol Strong (BIHAR) - our mentor, teacher, and guiding light - surrounded by a group of new breeders she so generously welcomed into the Löwchen world.
