History of Tapestry Löwchen

Discover our dedication to breeding happy and healthy Löwchen dogs.

Tapestry Kennels began by breeding and showing Shelties in 1985 until 2004 when at a dog show we discovered and watched for four days a lovely little breed: the Löwchen. Upon further investigation of the breed we shortly thereafter obtained our first female “Lydia” which produced our first litter Deja and Prada.

Gillian has been an AKC Breeder of Merit since 2011.  She has bred and shown multiple breeds, Rough Collies, Shelties, Bernese Mountain Dog, Brussels Griffon and finally Löwchen.  She has judged at several National Specialty Sweeps, taught Judges Education Seminars and mentors Judges upon request. She also taught  Conformation Classes for over 20 years due to her vast knowledge of many different breeds
